Who This Workshop Is For
This workshop is designed for women who have experienced body-altering surgeryโsuch as mastectomy, hysterectomy, reconstructive surgery, cancer-related procedures, or other significant medical interventionsโand are looking for a space to honor their experience beyond physical recovery.
Whether your surgery was recent or many years ago, and whether you are carrying grief, gratitude, uncertainty, relief, or a mixture of emotions, you are welcome here.
Saturday September 12th 1-4pm
A healing circle for women navigating the emotional impact of body-altering medical procedures.
Whether your experience involved mastectomy, hysterectomy, reconstructive surgery, cancer treatment, medically necessary procedures, or other significant body changes, this space is created to honor the parts of the journey that are often unseen.
Many women receive medical care without space to grieve, process identity shifts, reconnect with their bodies, or be witnessed in community.
This gathering offers a gentle, trauma-informed space for:
grief and loss
body image changes
identity and femininity
anger, relief, fear, or numbness
storytelling and reflection
creativity, ritual, and reconnection
Participants will be invited into guided reflection, expressive/artistic practices, and shared community witness in a supportive environment.
You do not need to identify as โfully healedโ to attend.
You do not need to explain or minimize your experience.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
What to Expect
Throughout this thoughtfully curated three-hour experience, you'll be invited to slow down, reflect, create, and connect in a supportive, trauma-informed environment.
Together, we will:
๐ฟ Honor the emotional impact of body change through guided reflection and meaningful conversation.
๐จ Engage in expressive artmaking designed to help explore, process, and honor your unique experience. No artistic experience is necessary.
๐ฏ๏ธ Participate in gentle rituals that acknowledge loss, resilience, and the many emotions that can accompany healing.
๐ Experience the comfort of being in community with other women who understand that healing extends beyond the physical.
๐ฑ Leave with tangible reminders of your experience and practices to continue supporting your healing beyond the workshop.
Sharing is always an invitation, never an expectation. You are welcome to participate in whatever ways feel most comfortable and meaningful to you.
