Experience the healing power of therapeutic art making at Revive & Thrive: A Therapeutic Art Workshop. This is a unique opportunity to come together, connect  and create in an environment that celebrates and explores creativity and art making as a path to self-renewal.

The focus of this quarter's Revive & Thrive is Process Painting. In process-based art making, the focus is on the process rather than a planned product or outcome. This involves reflecting on and responding to your own imagery while tapping into your internal experience, intuition and inner wisdom or knowing. In this process-based workshop we will be continuously exploring, responding, and adjusting our imagery and artmaking with support and guidance from facilitators and participants. While there are many benefits to this form of artmaking, a few you may experience include: connecting to yourself more deeply, permission to experiment and play or otherwise let go, increased self-exploration and self-awareness, finding personal meaning in your art and processes, and an increased sense of calm, connection, freedom, agency, or inner peace.

Led by Art Therapists & Licensed Professional Counselors, Kelly Toltzien and Taryn Cates, “Revive & Thrive” provides a safe and supportive space for you to slow down and experience the benefits of creative expression. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through various art-making processes and reflective exercises, ensuring a balance between supportive guidance and self-led exploration. This workshop is designed to provide a dynamic approach to creative self-expression, utilizing both group and individual processes. “Revive & Thrive” is experiential in nature; participants are asked to arrive open-hearted and ready to engage in the creative process.

Revive & Thrive is perfect for those seeking more intentional time to connect inwardly, as well as individuals looking for more tools to integrate into their personal wellness, self-care, and creativity practices.  Previous art experience is not necessary. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. All supplies, including a canvas, are included with the cost of registration.

  • Tea and snacks will be provided.

  • Participants are invited to bring other items to support personal comfort (pillows, blankets, etc.)
